This song is for my friend PF Sloan, who is pictured in the video.. Like many of us, he was runnung on Elvis Presley energy. He wrote follow up songs for groups in the sixties. When The Turtles had a hit with It Aint Me Babe, he wrote the similar Let me Be for a follow up. He did this for dozens of bands, but his biggest hit was Eve of destruction, which most people think was writtten by Brry mcGuire, because he had the hit. But like Phil always said, it wasnt just him, but everybody, who got no respect in the business for what thy did So this song is for them as well, with particular love for two other friends of mine who were lucky enough to have some hits, but are no longer with us..Ron Davies and Tim Hardin.
