While organized crime was boosted a notch

when the stock market crashed in 1929
hoover assured us everything would be fine
but the depression got darker, things kept getting worse
hoover just tightened the strings of the government purse

everybody says carter was such a nice guy
he gave the bloodthirsty shah a safe place to hide
which endangered the lives of hostages in iran
while he sold rifles to the taliban

farmers lost their farms during the reign of reagun
from the presidents voodoo, the economy was spun
buying guns for the contras with the money from drugs
while the aids epidemic was swept under the rug


from one creep to another this nations been pushed
from johnson to clinton from nixon to bush
with each empire builder another piece of it dies
and things are not any different with trump on our side
