in order to combat the angst of my politically torn country, I'm going to concentrate on writing some sacred pieces. Hunkering down and pressing into the Lord is the only strategy I have to be at peace in my soul. My church's 82 year old head deacon gave me a book of devotions for Christmas 2017 that has some very nice old old poems. I'm going to set some of them to music.

Born in Scotland. Now a naturalized citizen of the USA. Math teacher by trade & currently semiretired. Songwriter and composer by compulsion. Three grown grand-kids, one son, miscellaneous step children & a supportive husband. Love the blues, rock, pop, big band, old fashioned jazz and praising the Lord in all genres. I have 17 published albums of math music (yes, you read that correctly), Contemporary Christian originals, some Hymns and Christmas music, and a sprinkling of secular love songs. CDBaby, iTunes and Spotify net me about $10 a month. I DREAM of selling something to a movie or TV show some day. Sigh. Vocal chords and piano are my preferred instruments. I also use drum and guitar loops liberally.
