Sad Street

I wasn't living in Montecarlo during the first year of the pandemic. During that year.among those infected with the virus was the entire family livng across the street from where we used to live. A few days ago, all the recovered kids from that family were playng volleyball in the street . As they had already been infected, they believed for them the pandemic was over, and wore no masks, Meanwhile, their grandmother sad sadly on the porch, mourning her husband who had died. Yesterday morning, I was awakened by the howling of a dog in the street, It was the old man's dog, mourning his master. The cry of that dog and the indifference of the chidren motivated ths song.
