I know I romised to stop writing songs, but sometimes something happens that you relate to so personally that one cannot help writing a song on that theme. i wrote this song after my parakeets died,

two birds in a cage
,one was not moving
i freed the other from his cage
he did not fly away
he found a quiet corner and wept
how could one not be faithful
when her light burns eternal?
With eyes that light this garden
Where no snake has dared to come
the boy bird is gone
but he did not fly away
a few of his feathers remained
in the solitary terror
of a quiet corner
one bird
