Most of my favorite songs have pretty simple lyrics. Its the music that I respond to more than the story being told. Yet my own songs tend to be more weighted on the lyrical side, perjaps because my music is not interesting enought o sustain a weak lyric,. But what i would really like to do is write songs like Be My Baby and Runaround Sue. This attempt goes in that direction, but gets sidetracked along the way so it doesnt quite make it.
lyrics
hey baby lets take a spin
on the wheel of time
spill the milk across the milky way
get drunk on wine
there is a tree in the field of life
i have been wanting to climb
so cmon baby take a spin with me
on the wheel of time
i am troubled by everything i see
in the passing parade of eternity
are we the multiplications of a million rhymes
or a single bet on the wheel of time?
how can we get the rainbow back
when the only colors are red and black
and the only place to place our dime
is one square on the wheel of time
