the kids more than the men
and the women worst of all

through the dark glasses i wear
but everything is smoky brown
insde the yellow air

im watching from the window
of the presidential suite
my rifle locking in upon
the last man on the street

the ones who came to watch him die
had been the first to fall
he hated the ones with guilty eyes
and the innocent most of all

how they died i cannot say
i was high upon the landing
but after all was said and done
