lyrics

lyric by wyatt

Grass grows in the sidewalks
And in the streets as well
They're mostly torn and jumbled
From where the rockets fell

There's now a living jungle
On land they once called parks
It teems with many wild things
Especially after dark

Th e ravaged hills are green again
The rivers run pristine
Earth has near forgotten
That man had ever been

Hulks that once were cars
Are home for mice and rats
So in natures wisdom.
There's also lots of cats

In a hundred thousand centuries
That have marked the earthly span
There's a little blip there somewhere
That notes the time of man

Man is like a ship that passes in the night
But the earth abides
