about

the album is centered around two unique family events. first, in 1989, my last visit to my father in florida befor he passed away and the only recording of us singing together, although his voice is nearly gone, on sentimental journey. two of his favorite songs follow, wih e singing in the way he wished i sang. second, the opening of my mothers book store, the golden otter, in langly washington on whidbey island, and the first meeting of thalia toni marcus and myself. as she played in 79-80 with van morrison, my mons wish was for the twoo of us to do something from her favorite album, astral weeks. rob cook is n piano, and it was the last time we played together. the first time we laued in 30 years is heard on the opening track, rehearsals for retirement. a dream regained is from the band talia and i started, older master cute, and the final track is from a 1977 concert t the UW, which was the first show for legendary seattle group red Dress, and the track here is the only recording of Eric Anderson playing drums with myself on piano.
