when i started writing songs in the late sixties, i wondered why i always sang songs from the radio when walking around instead of my own songs. i suspected it was becuse my songs werent as good as the ones on the radio, and im afraid i was right. there really is no excuse for these songs, but i am compelled to include them in the archive because im a completest. i dont shy away from my own failings. very little was actually recorded in the seventies. witht he exception of multiple versions of White Boy and Alien, which show the evolution from folk songs t punk rock cassics, these recordings were all done in boston on 1986, on a day in which i was moved to attempt to recreate some of the mistakes of my youth
